I have an issue with this. First line he speaks about the Republican Party. Then he precedes to create an argument about liberals versus conservatives. Being liberal, does not make you a Democrat. Just like how being conservative does not make you a Republican. Take a political science class and you will learn that these terms in general all have some ambivalence to them. AND THEY ARE NOT EQUIVALENT. If you are going to make an argument you need to make sure it is well formed and about one topic. If his attack is on conservatives, then no party name should be mentioned. O’Donnell’s argument is immediately weakened by his first statement. He doesn’t know what he is arguing against and is attempting to discredit two different things. He makes the Crusaders look uninformed and unintelligent. This isn’t about being liberal or conservative. This is knowing and distinguishing the difference between political ideologies and political parties.
